UX & Digital Designer with a fine-art eye and a living-abroad perspective.

I’m Nettie—an artist turned UX & digital designer. I’ve always been pulled toward bold visuals: strong contrast, intentional color, and compositions that feel alive. That same instinct shows up in my design work, where clarity and emotion have to coexist—beautiful, but never confusing.

Living abroad reshaped how I think about people and systems. When language, norms, and “the obvious way” to do something aren’t shared, you learn quickly what makes experiences intuitive—and what makes them frustrating. I bring that mindset into every project: design that’s respectful, human, and easy to use even when someone is tired, distracted, or new to the context.

Right now I’m completing my UX certification and building a portfolio of self-initiated projects that show my process—from early problem framing and user flows to wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI. I’m especially drawn to work that blends storytelling and structure: travel, lifestyle, creative platforms, and products that help people make decisions with less stress.
